Here are the Chelsea evening headlines for Friday, October 2.
Lampard gives fitness update on Pulisic and Ziyech
Frank Lampard has revealed Christian Pulisic will be in the squad to face Crystal Palace on Saturday .
The game will come too soon for Hakim Ziyech, though, and the winger will have to wait to make his Premier League debut.
The Chelsea boss suggested that the new signing, brought in from Ajax this summer, could be available for selection after the international break.
“Pulisic is in the squad for tomorrow,” Lampard said. “He won't start, it's great to have him back.
“Ziyech is getting closer but not close enough to be on the bench.”
Hodgson wary of Chelsea’s quality after ‘excellent’ summer signings
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has admitted it is “too early” in the season to judge Frank Lampard’s new-look Chelsea team .
The Blues head into Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace on the back of a defeat against Liverpool and a dramatic draw at West Brom.
But Hodgson highlighted the “quality” at Chelsea’s disposal, particularly from the new additions.
“They've made some excellent signings,” he said. “I think three games is too early to assess any team.
“It's when things settle down you can make judgements, but I'm aware of how much quality they have in their team and their squad as well.”

But Chelsea reportedly do not want to let Alonso leave on loan and are making any potential move difficult before the close of the transfer window.
The 29-year-old is believed to be keen on joining Inter, but it remains to be seen if an agreement will be reached between the two clubs.
