Abramovich gives green light to two marquee signings
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to back Frank Lampard in the next transfer window and will approve two marquee signings, The Athletic reports.
They state the Russian billionaire is ready to back Lampard with at least two big-money signings with Leicester’s Ben Chilwell the priority.
Attacking additions are also on the agenda, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz, Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner are all being monitored.
Significant departures are also expected to help fund these deals, with Willian and Pedro are among those likely to be on the way out.
Sancho stat that is better than Lionel Messi
Much has been written about Jadon Sancho and the youngster's quality, and the stats back up what everyone has been saying, as Football.London has covered.
The Englishman netted his first senior hat-trick on Sunday in Borussia Dortmund's 6-1 thrashing of Paderborn in the Bundesliga and It was Sancho's first start since the Bundesliga returned after a three-month hiatus.
With that treble he created a piece of history too, as Sancho joined an elite club of players to have registered both 15 goals and 15 assists in the same season since Opta records began in 2006.
Lionel Messi has managed the feat four times, with Hazard doing so on two occasions. Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez are the other players in Europe's top five leagues to do so - but Sancho is the youngest-ever to achieve the feat.
