Chelsea drawn against Nottingham Forest in FA Cup third round

Chelsea have been drawn against Nottingham Forest at home in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Blues kick off their campaign in the competition at the start of 2020, with ties set to take place on the weekend of 3-6 January.

The draw, which was completed by former Arsenal captain Tony Adams and ex-Manchester City defender Micah Richards, saw Chelsea pulled out alongside the Championship side.

Both Championship and Premier League teams joined the draw for the first time this season, as lower league teams look to pull off a cup upset.

Sabri Lamouchi will be taking his side to Stamford Bridge with the hope that his team could be one to make the headlines, with Forest currently sitting in fourth place in the Championship table, as they look to push for a place in the Premier League next season.

The game will will also kick off a minute later than the allotted time, due to the FA's link with the 'heads-up' campaign in an attempt to encourage supporters to take 60 seconds to think about their mental health.

The last meeting between the two clubs came in last season's FA Cup, when goals from Alvaro Morata saw the Blues came out as 2-0 winners.
