More than 6,000 Chelsea supporters will be allowed to attend the FA Cup final against Leicester City later this month, Wembley Stadium has confirmed.
It has been announced that 12,500 tickets for the final – which will be played on Saturday, May 15 – will be split equally among fans from the two sets up clubs.
Then, 9,500 tickets will go to residents in the Brent area of London, as well as key workers, stadium guests and FA stakeholders, adding up to a total of 22,000 spectators inside the national stadium.
The final is the third test event to take place at Wembley as the Government's roadmap out of the Covid-19 pandemic continues to be followed.
Chelsea have yet to confirm how tickets will be distributed among supporters, who will have to pay to secure their seat at the game.
The 9,500 tickets which will go to local residents and key workers will be complimentary and will enable a named guest to also attend the contest.
All spectators who will attend the game must present a text or an email receipt of a negative lateral flow test no more than two days before kick-off, which is at 5.15pm.
Face coverings will have to be worn at all times by those in attendance. Social distancing will also be in place, with 0.9m between spectators. All attendees must be 16 years old or over.
Chelsea secured their place in the FA Cup final by defeating Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley last month – Hakim Ziyech scored the decisive goal for the Blues.
“Honestly I feel very proud for my team but also for me, I was very excited to come to Wembley for the first time, it is a very special place in world football," Tuchel told Chelsea TV after the win.
“To be on the sideline, be there with the team, to win a semi-final and reach a final, it is very special. I am a bit sad that there were no spectators but it is a special moment.”
