Chelsea determined to tie Callum Hudson-Odoi to new deal after fresh £30m Bayern Munich bid

Chelsea are still determined to try and persuade Callum Hudson-Odoi to sign a new contract despite an improved bid from Bayern Munich.

It has been reported that the Bundesliga club have offered £30m, which includes various add-ons, for the 18-year-old.

Chelsea have already rejected offers worth £13.5m and £20m this month and are expected to turn Bayern down a third time.

Hudson-Odoi has just 18 months left on his current deal and has yet to agree to the five-year contract offered last summer.

The England Under-21 international has made only six appearances for the Blues this term and it is believed a lack of game time is making him consider moving elsewhere.

But Chelsea remain committed to persuading Hudson-Odoi that he has a bright future at the club, something Sarri has stated regularly in public.

Chelsea might consider loaning the winger out in January to give him a chance to play more but only if he commits his long-term future first.

Sarri's side bought another wide player, Christian Pulisic, from Borussia Dortmund for £57.6m yesterday and he will join up with the squad in the summer. But his arrival is not because they are resigned to Hudson-Odoi leaving.
