Rudiger has been an integral part of Maurizio Sarri's team this season, and will be a big miss in the Olympic Stadium as they battle London rivals Arsenal for the Europa League trophy.

He said: "I'm part of the team, so I want to get behind my boys and want us to win this trophy.

"It doesn't matter the pitch size, it's a final, we've worked very hard for this, especially in the semi-final and we're here to win."

Preparation for the final took a hit during the Blues' final training session, with media focus on manager Sarri storming off the pitch, throwing and kicking his cap, with a problem between Gonzalo Higuain and David Luiz initially thought to be the problem, although that was played down by the club.

However, Rudiger expects his teammates to be ready for action.

He added: "This is the final game, no one needs to be extra motivated for these types of games, we're ready."
