Chelsea could be set for a huge transfer windfall as they reportedly prepare to offload as many as 11 players this summer.
The Blues are expected to invest heavily again this summer as they look to build on their Champions League success of this season, with a top striker on the list of needs.
A transfer kitty of £150million has been mentioned, but that could be thanks to a rather large transfer windfall with as many as 11 players said to on the dock.
According to the Daily Mail, as many as eight players could be sold, while Olivier Giroud is expected to leave on a free transfer at the end of his contract this summer, and both Billy Gilmour and Conor Gallagher are expected to leave on loan.
According to the report, Tammy Abraham, Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Davide Zappacosta, Emerson Palmieri, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Fikayo Tomori and Christian Pulisic could all be sold.
Many of the players on that list will come as no surprise to Chelsea fans, but Pulisic is a surprise name included, having impressed in the latter stages of this season under Thomas Tuchel.
Nevertheless, the American is mentioned as a possible departee, and he would be the most valuable of the potential men to head through the exit door, valued at £45million by Transfermarkt.
Abraham, meanwhile, is said to be worth £36million, while Barkley (£18million), Loftus-Cheek (£18million), Zappacosta (£7.2million), Emerson (£10.8million) and Bakayoko (£22.5million) could raise a combined £112.5million, taking the windfall total to a potential of £157.5million.
And that does not include the £24.1million option to buy AC Milan are likely to activate in the Fikayo Tomori deal, which takes the figure up to £181.6million.
That could be huge for the Blues as they look to strengthen this summer, and it could prove the difference in the Erling Haaland race - with a number of teams said to be interested in the Norwegian.
Haaland is said to be priced as high as £150million this summer, and the windfall, combined with the amount Chelsea reportedly already have to spend, could hand the Blues the major advantage.
