Here is your Chelsea morning digest for Saturday, Augst 8.
Blues can save £58m on Ikone
Frank Lampard - the Chelsea head coach - has already had a first-hand look at Jonathan Ikone when Chelsea took on Lille in the Champions League.
The Blues are said to have shown an interest in the 22-year-old but it remains unclear how this would impact their much-publicised interest in Kai Havertz.
Wilst Havertz and Ikone are different players, the Lille forward would be an interesting alternative at a far, far cheaper price.

Reguilon secret weapon
Chelsea are said to be keen on enticing left-back Sergio Reguilon to Stamford Bridge in an effort to solve Lampard's problem position.
A move to Stamford Bridge would likely be appealing as it is but Chelsea may have some secret weapons up their sleeve.
Reguilon has been on loan at Valencia from Real Madrid, a club the Blues are very familiar with after doing plenty of business in the last few seasons.
With both Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard moving to the Bernabeu, the Blues may enlist the help of both of them to convince Reguilon that joining Chelsea is in his best interests.

Midfield options assessed
With Jorginho banned, Billy Gilmour injured and N'Golo Kante doubtful, Lampard has some selection problems for the Champions League.
The Blues face Bayern Munich and face an uphill battle to get through as they trail 3-0 from their first leg back in March.
A sizeable absentee list has made that task even harder, so who is going to get the nod in the centre?
We've taken a look over the runners and riders for central midfield here.
