Chelsea head to Yokohama to face J1 League champions Kawasaki Frontale on Friday before a high-profile meeting with reigning LaLiga champions Barcelona in Saitama on July 23.
Christian Pulisic was named in the travelling squad and is expected to join his new team-mates later on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old missed those first pre-season fixtures in Ireland due to being on international duty at the Gold Cup, where the United States lost 1-0 to rivals Mexico in the final only last weekend.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to feature in Japan after deputies Willy Caballero and Jamie Cumming shared goalkeeping duties last week, while N'Golo Kante is expected to build his workload after feeling the effects of a hamstring strain suffered towards the end of last season.
Former Derby County loanee Mason Mount was included after putting pen to paper on a new five-year contract on Monday.
