The daughter of former president Bill Clinton and potential future president Hillary Clinton is following in her parents’ footsteps.

No, she’s not running for office – at least not yet. Chelsea Clinton is becoming an author.

The former first daughter’s book, It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going!, will be published this fall, the publisher, Penguin Random House UK, announced on Wednesday.

The publishing house said the book will be aimed at readers aged 10 to 14, and will be published on 15 September. Clinton’s first book, a work of nonfiction, will address what Clinton said are some of the world’s biggest challenges, including poverty, homelessness and climate change, among other topics.

“My hope is that the book will inspire readers to realize that they can start making a difference now, in their own way, for their family, their community, and our world,” Clinton said in a press release.

On the book’s website, Clinton said she had been inspired by one of her favorite childhood books: 50 Simple Things Kids Can Do to Save the Earth. She said she strongly believes children can make a difference, and recalled a project she dreamed up as a young girl to raise awareness about the dangers plastic six-pack rings can pose to marine wildlife.

“More than two decades later, I still feel the same way – I want to do my part to make a difference – and that’s why I wrote this book,” said Clinton, 35.

Clinton, who currently serves as the vice-chair of the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, has been quiet in the early days of her mother’s campaign for president. During the 2008 race for the Democratic nomination, Clinton emerged late in her mother’s primary campaign as a surrogate, appealing to the young voters.

Collectively, Clinton’s parents have published more than a half dozen books. Her mother’s most recent, Hard Choices, about her tenure as secretary of state, sold considerably fewer books than her 2003 memoir, Living History, which sold more than a million copies. Her father’s memoir of his time in the White House, My Life, sold more than 2.25m copies.
