Chelsea can prove Dusan Vlahovic prediction right as Paulo Dybala 'spotted' amid transfer links

With Chelsea's summer transfer window slowing transitioning from exits and trimming the squad into additions and bolstering the ranks again, there's a few key areas to address. In goal, the departure of Edouard Mendy has left a potential gap that needs to be filled, though the defensive department largely looks secure.

The midfield could use some extra bodies, with just Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher left in there, but it's perhaps the attacking unit that requires the biggest switch up. The Blues scored just 38 goals in 38 Premier League games last season, which led to a record lowest 12th-placed finish in the division.

There has been progress made in moving on players who were struggling in the front lines, with Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson joining to bolster new head coach Mauricio Pochettino's options. There's still more work to be done though, with some more space in the squad for goal scorers and chance creators.

Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a move to Chelsea, with his time at Juventus nearing a potential exit after the Turin side missed out on Champions League football for next season. It will likely see a cut back in finances, with moves for big-money players as a result, with the Serbian international potentially one of those.

A switch to Stamford Bridge could see the 23-year-old reunited with an old teammate of his in Paulo Dybala, with the World Cup winner also linked with the Blues. The Roma playmaker is said to be available for roughly £10 million this summer, due to a release clause in his contract.

Dybala was even spotted in England over the weekend, only stirring the transfer rumour mill further as he attended the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Defender Thiago Silva was also in attendance and dropped a potential hint over a deal for the 29-year-old in an interview.

Previous quotes from Vlahovic could give Chelsea the chance to meet the prediction made regarding the future of Dybala as well as the potential green light for the pair to reunite once again. Taking to social media after the Argentinian international left Juventus, Vlahovic said: "It took us little to understand that we spoke the same language, a glance and it was Joya right away.

"Football is this, friends in love with a ball chasing the same dream. Of one thing I am sure, wherever fate takes you, you will continue to shine. Thanks for everything champion! Good luck for everything, I love you !!! Will miss you.”

It remains to be seen if the pair will be reunited at Stamford Bridge or not for the coming season, with the west London outfit in need for goals in the market. However, Chelsea have a chance to find a player backed to shine wherever he may go and that could bag them a bargain.
