Chelsea boss Frank Lampard resolves Tammy Abraham penalty row with Jorginho after Crystal Palace win

Frank Lampard insists Chelsea have resolved the problem over their penalty takers after Jorginho and Tammy Abraham's disagreement on the pitch against Crystal Palace.

Abraham's quick turn in the penalty area had earned the Blues a penalty with the score at 2-0 following goals from Ben Chilwell and Kurt Zouma.

As the designated spot-kick taker, Jorginho stepped up and dispatched the penalty with his trademark 'hop' run-up.

But when Kai Havertz won a second penalty following a foul by Mamadou Sakho, Abraham grabbed the ball demanding to have his turn to add his name to the scoresheet.

Jorginho refused to back down, however, insisting it was his right to take penalty and captain Cesar Azpilicueta stepped in to avoid a potential row between the two players.

The Spaniard then handed the ball to Jorginho, who again made no mistake from 12 yards as Chelsea sealed a 4-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

A couple of players appeared to console Abraham during the goal celebrations, but Lampard suggested the 22-year-old should have respected their order of penalty takers.

"It's been dealt with. No problems," Lampard told BT Sport.

"Dealt with on the pitch and in the dressing room. I want leaders - and a little bit of conflict. It's good that Tammy was enthusiastic but you don't jump ahead of the list."
