Chelsea behind the scenes: Secret friendly, David Luiz's Arsenal exit and summer transfer plans

Chelsea are back in close-contact full team training now after Premier League clubs unanimously voted to do so this week.

The Premier League announced that the 2019/20 season would resume on June 17, but behind closed doors.

And the Blues are now gearing up for their return to action, following three months off due to the coronavirus pandemic, wit a weekend game on June 19, 20 or 21 set to be their first match back.

After the news broke that the Premier League was making its long-awaited return, we asked our reporters to get in the hotseat to answer your pressing questions on everything around Project Restart.

Chelsea reporter Alan Smith sat down for a Facebook Live session to answer your questions, but before all that, he let everyone know what might happen before the season gets under way again.

He said: "There is a feeling that the club may try and organise a behind closed doors friendly with some local opposition. Nothing has been arranged or confirmed on that yet, but we've heard from a number of clubs that are planning on doing the same.

"So we may end up hearing last minute about these secretive friendlies being played at training grounds in the next couple of weeks just to gain match fitness."

Alan was asked about transfers - who could come in and which players could go out - the fate of David Luiz following news that he was set to leave Arsenal just one year after the Gunners paid the Blues £8million for his services last summer.

Alan was asked if Chelsea could re-sign him. "I don't think there's much chance of that happening," he said.

"It was quite decisive from Frank Lampard, his first big decision really to let him go and it all stemmed from the fact that Luizx thought he should be the number on centre-back and Lampard wasn't sure at the time and couldn't guarantee him that."
