It could be a busy few days at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea look to get three transfer deals over the line.
The Blues have already added to their squad with the captures of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, even before the transfer window opened.
But it seems as if there could be three new faces at the club by the end of the week, with Thiago Silva, Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell all closing in on a transfer.
Progress on all three deals appear to have been made over the weekend as Frank Lampard looks to build a squad capable of closing the gap to Man City and Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.
As news emerged from Stamford Bridge on Monday, football.london’s Oliver Harbord hosted a Q&A with Blues fans to give them the opportunity to have their Chelsea questions answered.
One of the questions asked was about the progress of the deal for Havertz.
“There are still a few things to iron out, but it seems that the initial deal is pretty much there,” said Harbord.
“€80m (which is around £72m) plus €20m in add-ons would match the price that Leverkusen are after.
“Once that is all wrapped up, then finalising with Havertz will be no issue. He wants to move to Chelsea. So it could be within a couple of days.”
Other topics covered include the deals for Chilwell and Silva, Pre-season training and friendlies, and potential outgoings at Stamford Bridge this summer.
