Chelsea assistant Jody Morris names all-time Premier League XI but leaves out Liverpool stars

Chelsea's assistant manager Jody Morris has selected his all-time Premier League XI in a challenge on social media.

Morris is a key part of Frank Lampard's coaching team at Stamford Bridge after following him from Derby County at the beginning of the season.

The 41-year-old started his playing career at the Blues, making 124 appearances over a seven-year spell.

And there was plenty of Chelsea influence in his dream side, with a total of five former-Blues stars in the XI.

As well as Lampard, Morris also selected ex-captain John Terry and Ashley Cole in the back four alongside Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville.

Petr Cech gets the nod in goal, while Eden Hazard is picked in the front three alongside Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In midfield, Lampard is selected alongside Patrick Vieira and current Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne.

There was no room for any Liverpool players past or present - including the likes of Steven Gerrard and Mohamed Salah.

Morris did however include Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold on a list of 'potentials' on the side.

Several former Manchester United legends such as Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney were also omitted.
