Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United fans argue over summer signings after Christian Pulisic treble

Christian Pulisic played a starring role in Chelsea's 4-2 win over Burnley.

The American winger scored a hat-trick that helped his side to a four-goal lead before a late comeback from the hosts took some gloss off the scoreline in a dominant performance at Turf Moor.

It's been a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge for the 21-year-old following his £58million transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

The USA international signed a deal in January, but had to wait until the end of the 2018/19 season to make the move to Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard's brilliant response to Ajax claim

And starts have been hard to come by, with the likes of Mason Mount, Ross Barkley, Willian, Pedro and lately Callum Hudson-Odoi offering stiff competition in the attacking roles.

But Frank Lampard's decision to start the youngster at Turf Moor was repaid in full after he scored a perfect hat-trick - he grabbed the first with his left foot, the second with his right and a header to cap a fine performance.

It meant plenty of online reaction from fans of multiple clubs.

Chelsea fans were quick to sing the star's praises, and some drew favourable comparisons with Arsenal star Nicolas Pepe, who has also struggled following his £72million to north London this summer.

Arsenal fans simply weren't having it, though, pointing to the more difficult circumstances of playing under Unai Emery - who himself is under plenty of pressure at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester United fans were also quick to get in on the act, pointing to their new arrival Daniel James, who has had a positive start to his time at Old Trafford.
