Chelsea and Tottenham 'go to war' as Spurs aim to halt Maurizio Sarri's unbeaten start

The Premier League returns this weekend with a London derby clash between Tottenham and Chelsea at Wembley.

Maurizio Sarri, who took over from Antonio Conte in the summer, is yet to experience the rivalry between his new team Chelsea and Spurs - a rivalry which has certainly intensified in recent seasons.

Ever since Chelsea came from behind to draw 2-2 with Tottenham at Stamford Bridge in 2016 to deny Mauricio Pochettino's men the top-flight title, the meetings between these two teams have been entertaining and fiercely contested.

This Saturday's contest is set to be just as fiercely contested - with both teams being separated by just a point in the Premier League standings.

To add, the hosts will have the motivation of wanting to end Chelsea's unbeaten run under Sarri and, in doing so, leapfrogging their city rivals in the table.

Watch the video above to hear Standard Sport's Vaishali Bhardwaj look at how the rivalry between Tottenham and Chelsea has intensified in recent years.
