Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel provides Jorginho injury update after star limps off vs Leicester

Thomas Tuchel believes that Jorginho's injury should not keep him out of Chelsea's clash with Juventus on Tuesday.

Chelsea's captain for the day was enjoying a comfortable afternoon in the middle of the park, but his game ended prematurely after he limped off in a bit of pain towards the end.

The midfielder hobbled off in the 76th minute in the Blues 3-0 win over the Foxed with concerns that it may be a hamstring injury.

German coach Tuchel reassured everyone however that it was not serious.

He said: "I absolutely don't think so [that he's a doubt]. He said he feels like cramps. In the moment, I would say absolutely no muscle injuries and with that, no doubt for Tuesday."

Chelsea host Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday in another vital game in Group H. The Serie A giants have a 100% record in the competition so far and are incidentally three points above the Blues with just two matchdays remaining.

Tuchel's side then host Manchester United on Sunday afternoon as they bid to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under pressure at Old Trafford after a string of poor performances from the Reds and victory for Chelsea will only add to the misery.

As Mateo Kovacic is still out with injury, Chelsea are short in the midfield area and will need Jorginho to return to fitness as quickly as possible.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek replaced the Italian on Saturday and could find himself in the starting line up in the Champions League.

Tuchel will no doubt be relieved that it is nothing series for his midfield maestro.
