Chelsea and Spurs sent January transfer message over Wilfried Zaha by former Crystal Palace star

Clinton Morrison says he expects Wilfried Zaha to leave Crystal Palace in the summer - but does not see him leaving the Eagles in January.

The Palace star's future is once again the subject of much speculation, with the Mirror stating that his new agent Pini Zahavi is trying to tempt Jose Mourinho's Tottenham side into bidding for the winger.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international, while German giants Bayern Munich have also been reported as potential suitors for the 27-year-old.

Arsenal and Everton were both interested in signing Zaha in the summer transfer window, with the Palace star submitting a transfer request one day ahead of the deadline, only to end up staying put.

He has since featured 22 times for the Eagles this season in all competitions, scoring three goals.

But with Zaha's future again in the spotlight, former Palace striker Clinton Morrison has delivered his verdict on whether the Eagles star will move on from Selhurst Park.

“He wants to play football and for a team in the Champions League," he said, speaking on Talksport.

“Tottenham are in it [the Champions League] right now, but they might not be next season, with the way it is looking. He wants to go and play for a bigger club and his time is right now to move on.

“But I don’t think it will happen in January, I don’t think they [Palace] will be able to sign the players to replace him, because they will need three or four players.

“I think it will happen in the summer, that’s why he has brought in the super agent."
