Chelsea and Man United fans will love what Erling Haaland has said amid summer transfer links

Erling Haaland has admitted that he has a lot going on in his head at the moment, something that Chelsea and Manchester United fans will love to hear.

The Borussia Dortmund striker has continued to thrive since making the switch from RB Salzburg in January 2020.

The Norwegian scored his 19th and 20th goals in the Champions League in Dortmund's win over Sevilla on Tuesday night.

He reached 20 Champions League goals in 14 games. He is the fastest player to reach 20 Champions League goals in the history of the competition, beating Harry Kane's record by an incredible 10 games.

Haaland's goalscoring feats are remarkable. In 47 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions, he has scored 47 goals. This follows 29 goals in 27 games for Salzburg. He turns 21 in the summer.

Both Chelsea and United have been linked with a move for Haaland in the summer window.

Haaland has attracted interest from the very best clubs in Europe and would represent quite the coup for the Blues, who are eager to further add to their near-£200million investment from last summer.

Certainly, adding Haaland to an attacking unit including Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, and Kai Havertz is full of potential, even if those players are yet to fulfil their expectations.

And Haaland's recent comments following his brace against Sevilla suggest that he might be thinking about what his future holds.

As reported by Norweigan TV station TV2 Sporten, Haaland, when asked about his goals, said after the game: "Maybe for you it's a tap-in but for me it's a fantastic goal.

"There's a lot going on in my head and I need to be in the right place at the right time and put it between the defender's legs."

That there is "a lot going in my head" suggests that Haaland may have been approached by potential new clubs.

The striker does have a release clause of £66m in his contract. That, however, does not become active until the summer of 2022, meaning any club looking to sign him this summer will have to spend lavishly to sign him, likely north of £100m.

Haaland also shows off his goalscoring intelligence. That he thinks about the type of finish he has produced shows how aware he is of how he can score goals from unique positions and angles.

The 20-year-old has scored all types of goals, and this is a testament to the way in which he considers the type of finish that is required for specific chances.

Haaland is unquestionably one of the greatest strikers in world football, and he could be on his way out of Dortmund.
