Chelsea and Arsenal have been encouraged to swoop for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz in the summer transfer window by a club chief.
The Germany talent has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs in recent months, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.
A transfer would prove to be an expensive one though, due to how highly he is rated, and the economics of football have been hit by the coronavirus crisis.
However, Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has made it clear the club will not stand in the player's way if advances are made in the coming months.
"It's a logical development that Kai will leave Leverkusen at some point. I'm not surprised that he's attracted to other countries," he told Bild.
"We know he feels very comfortable here. We are in constant communication with Kai - it's all very open and transparent."
Earlier this week, Havertz himself opened the door for a move away from the Bundesliga by admitting his desire to play outside of Germany.
"I often wonder about all the things people allegedly know about me. I am ready to make a big step and I like challenges. That includes abroad.
"Leverkusen are a great club, I feel good - I have always said that. But of course I want to take the next step in my career at some point. That's my ambition."
