Chelsea agent fees revealed - how the Blues compare to rivals Liverpool, Man United & Arsenal

Chelsea have paid the second highest amount of money to agents and intermediaries in the period from February 1st 2018 to January 31st 2019.

The report released from the Football Association shows that the Blues have spent £26,850,552, though that is a long way short of Liverpool's £43,795,863.

The Stamford Bridge club's payments to agents has increased since last year when they spent £25,051,431, and this years fees also surpass the highest amount spent by any Premier League club in the last report.

The payments have come off the back of a spate of high profile transfers including moves for Jorginho, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Pulisic, as well as big loan deals for Gonzalo Higuain and Mateo Kovacic. That is of course, without noting the club's loan army.

Champions League hopefuls Manchester United have spent £20,759,350, while both Arsenal and Tottenham have spent less than £12m - though Spurs have not signed any players in that time.

Manchester City's spending remains high and have spent the third highest figure on agents with £24,122,753.

The lowest amount of money splashed out on agents was the £2.8m by relegation threatened Cardiff City, while Burnley spent just £3,975,928.

The most surprising figure may be that of Wolves who spent £6,479,714 despite an active summer following promotion, the fourth lowest in the league.

In total the Premier League clubs spent a cumulative £260,664,118 on fees.

Legislation was introduced by FIFA four years ago which requires the FA to publish a list of all the agent’s fees it has processed.
