Celebrity chef Rachel Allen's son Joshua is set to find out if he will be charged with drugs possession.
Police suspected he had €30,000 (£25,000) worth of cannabis delivered to his home in County Cork, Ireland.
Now his family await to see whether public prosecutors will charge the teenager following a gardai investigation.
A source told the Irish Mirror : "The file for this kind of an offence is very complicated and a lot of statements have to be taken.
"The biggest delay is awaiting the report from the forensic examination of the drugs which is believed to be cannabis herb.
"The gardai have forwarded it to the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for consideration and it will now be decided what the charge will be."
Joshua, 18, was arrested when they raided his home in near Shanagarry in east Cork in September 2018.
His mother Rachel released a statement and spoke of her devastation at the arrest.

She said: "We are absolutely devastated at this turn of events.
"Our son is eighteen years old, has never been in trouble with the Gardaí, and has made a huge mistake, which will have profound consequences for him.
"We do not in any way condone his actions, in fact, we utterly condemn them, but it is not for us to condemn him."

The statement concluded: "We must now try to look after our son and our family, the best way we can.
"We would ask that the legal process would be allowed to proceed to deal with this matter, without interference, and that we would be allowed to deal with this, like any other parents, in a similar position."
