Celebrated chef Gary Usher received a bizarre gift in the post from an anonymous fan today.
The outspoken restaurateur has shared a photo today of a personalised present - a roll of toilet paper.
Printed on the loo roll is a screenshot of an unpleasant tweet directed at one of his restaurants when it first opened.
Usher said he could now use the troll's comments to... well, you know.
It delighted his followers on social media.
The initial tweet was in response to the menu reveal at Kala in Manchester city centre, the most recent restaurant opening in Usher's Elite Bistros group.
It read: "Pumpkin seed puree, salsa matcha, smoked mussel cream. Menu all over the place, trying very hard, 9 months tops. Sorry."
That tweet has now been immortalised in printed toilet paper and anonymously posted to Kala's sister restaurant Burnt Truffle in Heswall, which has reopened its terrace.
Usher shared a photo of the gift and wrote: "A few years ago before we opened Kala a guy responded to a lovely post about our menu saying it was try hard & we’d only last nine months.
"This bog roll with his tweet printed on it arrived for me at Burnt truffle today."
He then confirmed an air date for his new Channel 4 money-saving series, How to Save a Grand in 24 Hours.
He'll be part of a 'crack team' of specialists who will give a different family each week a financial makeover, from budget DIY to affordable recipes.
How to Save a Grand in 24 Hours will air on Monday at 8pm on Channel 4.
Kala on King Street is due to reopen on May 17 in line with the Government's roadmap.
