Chef Bill Kim (of Chicago’s famed urbanbelly) is bringing his virtual pizza venture to the heart of the city with the second pop-up location of Chef Bill Kim’s Pizza & Parm Shop, opening Feb. 3.
The new pop-up (the original is located in Oak Brook) will operate out of urbanbelly’s kitchen in Wicker Park, serving up a selection of pizzas, salads and sandwiches, with Kim’s signature twists. The menu will be available for takeout only via DoorDash.
Among the Detroit-style pizza menu (by the pan or slice) highlights: Korean BBQ Ground Beef & Kimchi, Double Smoked Pork & Pineapple and Ricotta & Arugula. You can also build your own pizza from among those choices as well as traditional favorites such as pepperoni, sausage and mushroom. Other menu highlights include classic chicken parm or cauliflower parm sandwich, and vegetarian cauliflower “wings.”
In addition, you can enjoy complete meals via any of four “family pack” pizza dinners that include choice of pizza(s), as well as salads, pop and sweet treats for dessert.
“I had a lot of fun building this menu with flavors I love but that you wouldn’t necessarily expect on a pizza,” Kim said. “This menu pays homage to my childhood and reflects the many different cultural influences in my life that are evocative of the diversity in Chicago.”
Chef Bill Kim’s Pizza & Parm Shop will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
