Cheese festival in Edinburgh takes over the Pitt street food market this weekend

Stuck for something to do this weekend? Brace yourselves Edinburgh cheese-lovers because the festival of dairy delights is here.

The sun has finally made an appearance and The Pitt is hosting a cheese festival all weekend (April 13-14) - from 12-10pm on Saturday and 11am-6pm on Sunday.

We're talking  grilled cheese, macaroni cheese and the famous raclette "cheese waterfall."

Confirmed vendors include The Buffalo Truck with their locally-renowned delicious burgers and FacePlant Foods, who will be serving up vegan cheese.

The Pitt, located on Pitt Street, say that as well as cheese you'll find "red wine, white wine, rose, prosecco... why not cheese with beer?

There will also be live music and kids and dogs are welcome.

The Pitt has been running since 2015 and  the award-winning venue has street food, drinks, buskers and more running weekly.
