'Cheering for Stoke' - Forest fans eyeing long game as promotion rivals play catch-up

Nottingham Forest fans will have woken up in a good mood today after their side returned to winning ways.

The Reds claimed a 2-1 win over Luton Town on Saturday, and the welcome three points in the Sky Bet Championship.

’s side also have a game in hand following the postponement of last week’s match against Reading, and are only three points off the top of the table.

Forest are next in action on Saturday when they welcome in the first East Midlands derby of the season.

With the Reds nicely placed after their opening 14 league matches, Forest fans are feeling optimistic about their club’s chances of success after 20 years of promotion disappointment.

And they will be hoping ailing Stoke City do them a huge favour when Forest's promotion rivals West Brom go to the bet365 Stadium tomorrow night.
