Princess Charlotte turns six today – and she Char looks like her mum Kate.
The Duchess of Cambridge shared a photo of the youngster in a floral dress, and with a cheeky grin almost identical to hers at a similar age.
The smiley snap was taken by Kate, 39, this weekend in Norfolk and released by Kensington Palace.
The doting mum and Prince William had originally planned to share the sweet commemorative photo on social media.
But due to William’s football links, the royal couple are backing clubs, players and other sporting bodies by steering clear of Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for four days in a boycott over online racism and abuse.
The 38-year-old Duke announced on his official Kensington Royal Twitter account on Friday: “As President of the FA, I join the entire football community in the social media boycott this weekend. W.”
The boycott aims to push tech giants into taking stronger action against people who post racist and sexual abuse online.
Charlotte, fourth in line to the throne, is known to be more confident and cheeky than brothers George, seven, and Louis, three.
Her rebellious streak was evident this week in her parents’ video marking their 10-year wedding anniversary.
While both her brothers’ shirts are neatly tucked in, Charlotte’s is seen sticking out under her jumper as she tears around outside.
The new photo is a contrast from the photos which marked Charlotte's fifth birthday.
In 2020, she was pictured volunteering with her brothers and their parents William and Kate by helping to load a van with food and delivering meals for those in need in Norfolk.
The birthday girl's full title is Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.
She was born at the private maternity Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, central London, at 8.34am on May 2 2015, weighing 8lb 3oz.
Kate is a keen amateur photographer and patron of the Royal Photographic Society and her pictures have regularly been released to mark her children's birthdays.
