Cheeky Liverpool fans are writing Champions League-inspired messages on £20 notes

Liverpool fans have writing Champions League-inspired messages on £20 notes.

People have been sharing pictures of notes defaced with various messages such as "six times" coming out of the Queen's mouth.

One Everton fan shared the image of the cheeky note which he said he'd had out of the cash machine.

Twitter user 'Jimmy the moonlite' shared a snap of the defaced note and captioned it "Hahahaha out the cash machine, there's no getting away from the pesky Reds."

And Jimmy's tweet went viral - with many fans sharing photos of similar notes they'd found across the city.

One replied saying: "That's awful...ahem" and then shared a snap of a £20 with "6 times YNWA" coming out from a speech bubble by the Queen's mouth.

Others shared their comments, saying how brilliant they found it.

One said: "I'm doing this on all my money from now on. 20s anyway, not sure it'll work on 5s or 10s."

Another said: "It would make my year if I drew that out of a cash machine."

And a third said: "Class, Jimmy glad you can laugh about it mate."

Liverpool clinched the Champions League title for the sixth time earlier this month - as they beat Tottenham in Madrid.

After their victory the team returned to Liverpool for an open top bus victory parade through the streets - with an estimated half a million people coming out to see the trophy and players.
