Cheeky Glasgow taxi driver takes hilarious selfies before returning punter's lost iPhone

A cheeky Glasgow taxi driver has gone viral after leaving hilarious pictures and videos on a customer's lost mobile phone.

The driver, known as Scott, was on shift for GlasGO cabs when he was alerted to customer Dylan Porter's missing iPhone 7 in the back seat of his car on Tuesday.

The unknown taxi driver decided to give Dylan, from Glasgow, a laugh and took several selfies on his mobile before returning the handset.

Scott also recorded a video saying: "I’m just coming up the hill the now in first gear, this wee puddle jumper is about to break down.

“Right chap your phones on the way man here we go now yes!”

Dylan was delighted when he got his phone back, but was left in stitches at the pictures and video his driver had left behind.

Dylan told the Daily Record: “At first I was so gutted when I realised my phone was missing because I had just paid to get it fixed.

“I called the up GlasGo cabs and the driver rocked back up no problem, he definitely brought it back with a bang.

“It wasn’t until I was looking at my phone later that night I saw all these pictures and videos. I was actually laughing so much it was so funny.

“He was mental but a good guy!”

Dylan’s cousin Rebecca hailed the taxi driver's antics ‘hilarious’ and shared the story online, with the post receiving more than 1,000 likes.

She said: “I found it hilarious, I was in tears with laughter.

"My cousin was heading to my house from his own house in the taxi and he left the phone in the taxi by accident.

“The driver called him on a different number that he had called the taxi from and offered to drop it off, so he did.

Rebecca claimed punters have been calling taxi firm and asking for them to send Scott for their hire after Dylan shared his encounter.

A spokesperson for the GlasGo cabs said: “It was a bit of light hearted fun, when we all saw it in the office we were killing ourselves laughing.

“He definitely left a wee surprise for the customer and I think it has cheered a lot of people up a bit.

“Since the post went online we have had people call us asking us to send that driver out.”
