Cheeky Edinburgh rugby fan gets pants signed by South Africa captain

A cheeky Edinburgh rugby fan was left with a once in a lifetime souvenir following Scotland’s defeat to South Africa at Murrayfield - after inviting the Springboks captain to sign his pants.

Siya Kolisi duly obliged when the man leapt out of the crowd as he greeted a small clutch of supporters in the aftermath of the world champions 30-15 win over the hosts, signing off with a friendly slap.

A video shows the fan hopping over the fences to meet the flanker before handing him a pen and presenting his skants in the design of the South African flag.

The Springboks made it three wins from three in their Autumn tests with victory in Edinburgh, but were made to work for it in a close first half.

The home side went in at the break 10-8 courtesy of two Stuart Hogg tries to equal the Scottish international record, but were unable to hold on against the world’s number two ranked outfit.
