Checking in on 3 ex-Broncos quarterbacks

As the Broncos continue rolling with Joe Flacco at quarterback, we wanted to do a quick check in on three quarterbacks that went to training camp with the team last summer.

In Washington, Case Keenum started for the Redskins on Sunday and helped them secure their first win of the season, a 17-16 victory over the Dolphins. Keenum connected with rising star Terry McLaurin for two touchdowns in the win.

In Pittsburgh, Paxton Lynch was promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster to serve as the backup to Devlin Hodges. The Steelers started Hodges in the place of an injured Mason Rudolph, who is recovering from a concussion. Lynch didn’t get any action in Pittsburgh’s 24-17 win over the Chargers.

In Indianapolis, Chad Kelly is still on the Colts’ practice squad, where the team plans to have him continue his development. “I just look it as an opportunity to get better each and every day,” Kelly said in a recent interview with ESPN’s affiliation radio station in Indianapolis.

Meanwhile, in Denver, Flacco has completed 66.3 percent of his passes with six touchdowns against five interceptions. He’s been the game manager we expected him to be — not terrible, but not great, either.
