#DawgsCheckerNeyland: How Georgia fans can make another statement in Knoxville

The Tennessee Volunteers are off to one of the worst starts in program history, at 1-3 and 0-1 in conference play.

Georgia and Tennessee each have a bye in Week 5, though the Vols may still find a way to lose.

Next weekend in Neyland Stadium, Bulldog fans are planning to take over, just like they did at Vanderbilt. Many are familiar with the ‘Checker Neyland’ movement that has been going on for a couple years now. Volunteer fans color-coordinate each section of Neyland to ‘checker’ the stadium in orange and white.

However, there won’t be many Tennessee fans at the game next week. Which gets us to thinking, why not checker Neyland in red and black?

Though many fans have already proposed this idea on Twitter, we found a neat suggestion from @Dawg_Talk.

Bulldog fans attending the game can use this website, to find out which color to wear for their respective section. Of course, we don’t want you wearing the orange and white, hence the twist on the movement. Georgia fans in orange sections should wear red, while those in white sections should wear black.

This is the goal.

If you don’t know which section you’re sitting in or have either color, we’re putting you on notice. You have a week and a half to get ready for the checkering.

And oh yeah, we included this photo, just in case the Checker Neyland website disappears, like Tennessee’s bowl hopes.

If you’re not going to Knoxville, you can still help the movement by sharing this post and spreading the word with #DawgsCheckerNeyland. We took over Nashville, got our field named after Vince Dooley, wore pink for Wendy and lit up Notre Dame. Now, it’s time to Checker Neyland.
