Check your lottery tickets - someone has won £5million

National Lottery players are being urged to double check their tickets after one lucky player scooped the entire £5 million jackpot.

The winner netted £5,051,768 by matching all six main balls on Wednesday night’s draw.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, said: “What fantastic news for a very lucky ticket-holder who has secured the entire £5 million Lotto jackpot in tonight’s draw.

“Players are urged to double check their tickets for a chance to claim this massive prize.”

He added: “Over the last 25 years, National Lottery players have made a huge difference to good causes.

“On average, around £30 million a week is raised for everything from small, local community projects to large, iconic attractions and our famous heritage sites.

“With this fantastic win, the lucky ticket-holder can make a big difference, not only to their life but to that of their friends and family too.”

The winning numbers were 2, 3, 5, 27, 51 and 54, with the bonus ball 6.

Set of balls four was used alongside machine Guinevere while the jackpot for Saturday’s game is estimated to be around £3.8 million.

Meanwhile there was no such luck with the Thunderball game with no one winning the £500,000 top prize.

The winning Thunderball numbers were 11, 18, 25, 32 and 33 while 8 was the Thunderball.

There were also no winners of the £350,000 top prize on the Lotto HotPicks game, although four players won £13,000 each by matching four out of five balls.
