Check the number of coronavirus cases where you live using your postcode

Though many lockdown measures have eased in recent weeks life in Wales, and around the world, is still a far cry from what most of us would consider typical.

The ongoing pandemic means huge numbers of people are working from home while others have seen holidays cancelled, exams replaced by teacher grading, and things like weddings drastically scaled-back. Most significantly of all, though, many thousands of people here in Wales have been infected by Covid-19 and, at the time of writing, some 1,595 people have tragically died after testing positive.

Authorities are keen to remind people that the virus remains with us and that's never been more clear than the day Wales recorded its steepest rise in new coronavirus cases for at least a week while a plane-load of passengers who flew into Cardiff have all been ordered to self-isolate following seven confirmed cases among passengers.

Using this tool, which is powered by data from Public Health Wales, you can check the latest updates on the number of confirmed cases by your postcode. Simply enter your postcode into the interactive widget and it will provide you with local and national information relating to coronavirus.
