Check out these highlights of RB Theo Riddick, who is expected to sign with the Broncos

Barring any unexpected setbacks, the Broncos are expected to sign former Lions running back Theo Riddick later this week, according to a report from KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. Check out the highlights from Riddick’s time in Detroit in the above video.

Riddick (5-9, 201 pounds) is a 28-year-old running back who has made his living in the NFL as a receiver out of the backfield. He hauled in 61 receptions for 384 yards with the Lions last year and he has racked up 285 receptions for 2,238 yards since entering the league in 2013.

He can run, too, though that’s not his biggest strength. The Notre Dame product has rushed for 1,023 yards and five scores in his career. He will likely compete with Devontae Booker for the team’s third-down back job behind top tailbacks Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman.

Riddick was cut by Detroit on July 27 and visited the Saints on July 28 before taking a physical examination in Denver on July 29. He will likely sign with the team sometime after the Hall of Fame Game.
