The NFL video game produced by EA Sports has a new feature where every team has a home-field advantage. For example, when a team plays the Jacksonville Jaguars at TIAA Bank Field, they will have to overcome the fact the Jags get bonus momentum when they score a touchdown.
What kind of home-field advantage did the Texans get?
If an opponent scores a touchdown against Houston at NRG Stadium, they just don’t receive as much momentum as they do in other stadiums. EA Sports dubbed this particular home-field advantage “The Bullpen.”
The Indianapolis Colts’ home-field advantage is being able to see the hat count for the opponent on all plays via the coach cam. The Tennessee Titans’ advantage is being able to avoid committing holding penalties.
Opponents scored 28 touchdowns against the Texans at NRG Stadium in 2020. The momentum must have been compounding as the Texans had a 2-6 record inside their own building.
