Thousands of runners donned their best running trainers and took to the streets of Manchester today for the Great Manchester Run 10k and half marathon.
Of course, it's the taking part that counts whether it was a personal challenge, just for fun or all in the name of charity.
So congratulations to all those who took part.
Thousands upon thousands of people lined up at the start line on Portland Street, and followed the route down the A56.
The 10k start line is on Portland Street and the route travels down the A56 towards Old Trafford and back towards Deansgate.
The finish system remains in operation until all runners have crossed the line on Deansgate.
The half marathon course revolves around both of the city’s football stadiums. Starting on Portland Street once again it travels towards the Etihad Stadium then the route runs south of the city centre towards Old Trafford and then back towards the finish line on Deansgate.
