Check coronavirus cases where you live using your postcode

The bad news keeps coming over the coronavirus pandemic with the latest stats showing 21 more deaths in Merseyside and almost 800 in England.

With the lockdown extended and daily stories about the battle facing health care staff to get enough PPE, it has never been more important to stay informed on what's happening near you.

The Liverpool ECHO wants to ensure you can keep updated with the latest statistics and numbers surrounding the illness.

Using the our handy tool, which is powered by data from Public Health England, will allow people to view the number of confirmed cases and deaths by their post code.

Simply enter your postcode into the interactive widget and it will provide you with local and national information relating to coronavirus.

The widget will provide detailed information in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The overall death total in England is now a staggering 15,607.

Of the 778 new deaths announced today 136 occurred on April 20, 236 occurred on April 19 and 121 occurred on April 18

The figures also show 242 of the deaths took place between April 1 and April 17, and the remaining 43 deaths occurred in March, with the earliest new death taking place on March 21.
