Cheater tries to bribe handyman to hide affair from wife as he shares brazen note

A cheating man who tried to pay the handyman to hide his affair from his wife has seen his bribery note go viral.

Repair man Zalmir Ferreira from Itaborai, Brazil, was astonished when he opened a broken mobile brought in by the pastor's wife.

Inside he found cash and a note from the priest begging him to say the phone could not be repaired.

The bribe was in 150 Brazilian Real, which is worth around £24.

The desperate cleric told him that the phone's memory contained intimate details of his affair that would cost him his church, his home and his marriage.

Zalmir gave back the cash and the note when the guilty priest returned saying he had "overdone" it.

But not before he had filmed it and put it on TikTok.

Video footage shows how the note reads: "Friend, please, say that this device is unfixable."

It goes on: "If my wife 'sees' what's in it, I lose the house, the car, the bank account, the lover, and the congregation.

"In the name of the Father, help me, there's a reward for you."

Zalmir later told local media: "Three weeks ago, a couple left a mobile phone at the store.

"She said she wanted to see something that was on the mobile phone, but he dropped the device in the toilet.

"She took it and said it was to be fixed and delivered specifically to her. When I opened the device, there was a note inside."

Zalmir, who has been repairing broken electronic devices for seven years, said he felt obliged to fix the phone and return the hush money.

However, he revealed that this prompted the pastor to return to the store to threaten him.

The repairman said: "I didn't see what was on the phone, I never look.

"And as I got involved with the story, then I didn't really want to know, it was already causing a lot of trouble.

"Two days after the mobile phone was fixed, he showed up there alone, very upset, wanting the mobile phone, he threatened me, saying he was going to call a lawyer."

However, Zalmir revealed that the man of God later returned to the store to apologise, saying he had "overdone it".

The repairman said: "He reaffirmed that there was something important inside, but he didn't want to say what.

"So I returned his money and the letter, he even joked, 'There seems to be no solution for me'."

However, Zalmir's professionalism worked against the pastor's wife too, and he refused her discreet request for him to unlock the mobile phone so she could see what was on it.

He said: "On the same day, he returned with his wife, they paid for the service, which was cleaning and maintenance of the circuit board, and they left.

"When they went together they were always very calm. By text, she always seemed suspicious, saying that the mobile phone had things she needed to see, that their lives were at stake, things like that."

Netizens were anxious to know how the story ended, but Zalmir did not let on, stressing that he does not "clone, lock and unlock... because that's detective or hacker stuff".

He added: "It would be bad character on my part for the woman to arrive with the device to be repaired and for me to say that it's not possible."
