Drama, betrayal and backstabbing: it’s fair to say that Netflix’s new show Cheat comes with a lot of baggage.
Hosted by Amanda Holden and Paul C. Brunson, the show brings together eight couples who are dealing with the issue of cheating. Locked together in a ‘retreat’, they’re then asked to work through all their issues – but of course what actually unfolds is accusations and a fair few wandering eyes.
With the entire show now streaming (and reviews ranging from bad to worse), what happened to the couples at the centre of the action. Did they stay together, or did they decide to call it a day?
Here’s what happened.
Biggs Chris and Rebecca Gormley

Biggs and Rebecca first met on Winter Love island in 2020, and ended up dating after the show. It didn’t last – 18 months later, they split, and Biggs claimed Rebecca was a “party girl.” After that, Rebecca started dating another islander, Michael Griffiths; Biggs broke up with his next partner in 2023, weeks before the birth of their son. Turns out, he was also cheating on Rebecca.
In the retreat, things didn’t go smoothly – Rebecca explained that “there was a bit of a connection inside the retreat with me and Craig” who was one of the other contestants.
When they left the retreat, this apparently involved going on a date with Craig. “I came to London and we had a great time,” she added, and the pair had sex. Oh, and Biggs said he didn’t know anything about it. Safe to say, this pair aren’t reconciling any time soon.
Kieran and Amberley

Property manager Amberley and automation engineer Kieran still seem to be going strong – and say they’ve taken the lessons from the retreat into their second go-around at the relationship. “Every time we have a little blowup, we call things out, and it just resolves a million times quicker than anything we did before,” Kieran said.
But they’re not boyfriend and girlfriend yet – Kieran said that they were “taking it slow”, as Amberley still didn’t trust him completely. And maybe she’s right to: she said that on social media, she’d caught him following a few girls, who he’s since had to unfollow.
Shaun and Tegan

Absolutely not; their numerous relationship issues proved too much to overcome. Tegan revealed that after the retreat, Shaun texted her, writing “I hope in time we can be friends.” It wasn’t a surprise, she explained, because he was selfish. Then Tegan blocked him, and Shaun said “there’s been no contact ever since.”
Despite Tegan saying she’d found some form of closure, the pair definitely didn’t seem to be on good terms. “You have this fantasy of this person you want,” Shaun told her, adding “you’re the negative person that brings me down.” Ouch.
Conor and Lucia

The pair – who had been together for four years – left the retreat at the very last reckoning, when Conor called it a day on their relationship. “I still stand on my decision that I made,” Conor said.
Lucia has a different story to tell – as she says in the last episode, the first thing Conor did after he left the retreat was “download Instagram, followed my friends, and said, ‘I did it because she’s fit’… that’s disrespect.”
All that work they tried to do on being emotionally available on Conor doesn’t seem to have rubbed off, either. “I don’t have any respect for her,” he declared at the end of the show. Oof.
Steph and André

One of the show’s very rare success stories. Despite entering the retreat on rocky grounds, the pair’s time here ended up being “really good”. Steph said that they had “grown so much as a couple” and that she trusted him.
It’s the fulfilment of a dream for Andre, who said he started the process wanting “to get my Steph back so bad.” And he did: they revealed that the pair now live together, and that Steph now trusted him to go to the gym.
Liam and Olivia

Liam and Olivia’s tumultuous time at the retreat culminated in him admitting to her that he had cheated. “I remember just feeling like my whole world had crashed down,” she said.
Liam, for his part, called it “one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life.” When Amanda asked if he had confessed everything, he added, “I’d be lying if I said I was a saint.”
But the pair appear to have decided to make a fresh start. Olivia said the pair had also met up with her mum to have those “hard conversations” – though they hadn’t yet had any conversations with her friends. The episode ended with them committing to each other once more; aww.
Dan and Rebecca C

On the very last day, Dan rejected Rebecca and the pair left the retreat separately.
“Dan’s tried to reach out, but respectfully, I don’t want anything to do with him,” she said at the reunion. “There’s never going to be a friendship there.” Rebecca also revealed that she was in a new relationship, with somebody she had dated beforehand.
“I have this person at home I overlooked because I was still in love with Dan,” she said. Dan, meanwhile, said he’s been working and spending time with family – as well as going on a few dates.
Craig and Jazz

Needless to say, things have not ended well for the former Dulwich Hamlet footballer and his ex.
After that explosive ending, Jazz revealed that they had been in contact since leaving the retreat. She added that Craig told her “he wanted us to get back together.” Jazz went over to his house for a few days, and the pair had sex.
Needless to say, though, Jazz didn’t know that Craig had been on a date with Rebecca – “you said you met Rebecca in a group”, she told him, to which replied that they “planned to go as a group.”
During the final episode, Rebecca also told him that he hadn’t mentioned seeing Jazz previously, which he denied. As it turns out, Craig had been sleeping with both women and not telling either of them the truth.
The episode ended with Jazz calling Craig “the evilest, nastiest, lying, most manipulative person I’ve ever met.” No happy endings for this pair.
