The cheapest supermarket for February 2021 has been revealed in the latest monthly Which? price comparison.
Prices were compared for a basket of 19 essential items from across the UK's most popular supermarkets.
German discounter Lidl came out on top beating off competition from the big four supermarkets, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons as well as rival Aldi.
Lidl's basket of items including apples, eggs and Hovis bread cost £8 less than the priciest store, reports The Mirror.
Consumer group Which? found on average, shoppers would have paid £19.13 at Lidl, which narrowly beat rival discounter Aldi by just 25p.
Meanwhile, Waitrose was over £8 more expensive than Lidl for the same trolley of items.
How the supermarkets scored
Below is how much customers spent on an average shopping basket of goods last month.

Lidl came out cheapest overall at just £19.13, while Asda was the cheapest Big Four supermarket, rolling in at £21 exactly.
At the other end of the scale, upmarket Waitrose was over £8 more expensive than Lidl, at £27.44.
Which? also compared a shopping trolley packed with 85 items - the original 19 plus 66 more across the Big Four plus Waitrose and Ocado.
This included a greater selection of branded items, such as Branston baked beans and Kleenex tissues, that aren't always available at Aldi and Lidl.
The shopping list combined branded items, such as Kenco Millicano coffee, Oxo stock cubes and Twinings English breakfast tea, with own-label products including onions, tomatoes and milk.
Asda, at £160.89, claimed the top spot - charging shoppers £17.90 less than the most expensive supermarket, Waitrose.
Grocery prices at Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Tesco were similar, with just over £4 separating the three supermarkets.
