The RAC said as of March 31, the average petrol price in the UK sat at a whopping 163.28p per litre. Efforts by the government to alleviate this pain have fallen well short of the mark, with Chancellor Rishi Sunak promising a measly £2 break on a 40-litre tank with his 5p fuel duty cut.
