Just like the compulsory chocolate on Easter morning, a traditional Christmas lunch should always involve a turkey.
Usually the most expensive part of the meal, tracking down a turkey that doesn't break the bank can sometimes be a task. So we've found out which shop is selling the cheapest Christmas turkeys for 2019.
Taking the crown for cheapest frozen Christmas turkey this year is Iceland supermarkets, whose Bernard Matthews Golden Norfolk Basted Turkey XX Large will set you back just £2.78 per kilogram.
Beating the likes of Lidl, Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s to the title – the next closest frozen competitor came in at 10p more per 1kg, if we don't include any time-restrictive promotional savings.
We've got the full list of cheapest Christmas turkeys for 2019 below, taken from research done by cooking magazine Good To Know.
Thanks to a special offer from cashback site TopCashback, you can bag Iceland's winning Bernard Matthews number for as little as £5.
Usually £20 for the 7kg turkey, all new members to cashback site TopCashback can bag a free £15 spend at Iceland, making the festive bird just £5.
All you need to do to get the £5 turkey is sign up to TopCashback for the first time here, then head to the 'Free £15 at Iceland' page here and shop like normal.
TopCashback will then reimburse you the £15 money for the turkey within a few weeks.
Annoyingly though, as the offer only works online, you will need to spend at least £35 in order to get your shopping delivered.
