Cheaper tram tickets available as NET launch new app

Tram operator NET has launched a new app allowing passengers to buy tickets at a lower price.

The NETGO! app has been launched to make it easier and cheaper for passengers who use the tram service.

Buying tickets on the app, which requires registration, will be slightly cheaper than buying it using the ticket machine.

An adult single fare is £2.20 on the app, comapred to £2.30 using the machine, while an adult day pass is £3.85 instead of £4.

However, the app prices are still higher compared to the cost for people using a Robin Hood Card or Mango Card.

A single trip using the cards is £2, while there is a daily cap of £3.70.

The app will also features a map of the network, and keep users up to date with any disruptions or changes to the network.

A statement on the NET website said: "NETGO! Is the free ticketing app for Nottingham’s tram network, providing an easy way to purchase tram tickets and keep informed of service updates.
