The victim, aged in his 30s, was knifed in Cheam on Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing in London Road, Cheam, at 4.05pm.

It comes as a teenager was shot dead in a separate incident in West Norwood, south London.

Police were called to the scene in Friar Mews shortly after 4.10pm following reports by the London Ambulance Service that a young male was in a critical condition.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 4.45pm.

A Met police spokesman said investigations were ongoing and a post-mortem examination would take place in due course.

"A number of enquiries including review of local CCTV footage and forensic analysis at the scene are in hand,” said the spokesman.

Any witnesses and those with information on either incident should call police on 101/CAD 5335 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
