Che Adams, Billy Sharp and the other nominees for EFL team of the year and end of season awards

The English Football League have released the list of nominees for the EFL Awards 2019.

Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp, Birmingham City’s Che Adams and Norwich City’s Teemu Pukki, who are currently fighting it out to be the top-scorer in the division this season, have all been nominated for Player of the Year.

Derby County’s Harry Wilson and Norwich’s Max Aarons are both on the shortlist for the Young Player of the Season award, which covers all three divisions in the Football League and also includes Luton Town’s James Justin from League One.

Derby’s Max Bird has also picked up the honour for LFE Apprentice of the Year, while Aston Villa’s John McGinn and Sheffield Wednesday’s Adam Reach are both on the five-man shortlist for the Goal of the Year in 2018.

The Sir Tom Finney, Contribution to League Football and Screwfix Moment of the Year awards will all be announced on the night.

In League One Doncaster Rover's John Marquis, Luton Town's James Collins and Sunderland's Aiden McGeady will compete for the Player of the Season award, while Bury duo Danny Mayor and Jay O'Shea will compete with Tranmere Rovers star James Norwood for the League Two award.

While representation from the London clubs is few and far between, there is one representative in the shape of Charlton Athletic's Lewis Page.

The full-back is nominated for Goal of the Season alongside the likes of John McGinn, Adam Reach, Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu and Ruben Neves.
