Chauncey's Timber Flooring expands operations after buying up warehouse space in Bristol

A Bristol-based flooring company has expanded its operations after buying up new premises in the city.

Chauncey’s Timber Flooring has bought 18,135 sq ft of warehouse space at St Philips Trade Park - a trade counter and industrial area of Bristol - from Collinson Tiles.

The company said the new unit would allow the firm to increase its storage and production.

Ian Tomlinson, managing director at Chaunceys, said: “Since our family business started trading in 1988, we have grown significantly, employing 22 staff and earning a client base that extends across the South West, London and internationally.

“We have been looking for the opportunity to expand our capacity for some time now. This new facility will allow us to increase our storage and production, building on our commitment to providing clients with the best possible product within the shortest possible lead time.”

Chauncey’s was represented by commercial property firm Cushman & Wakefield and Collinson Tiles was represented by Avison Young.

Chris Yates, associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s logistics and industrial team, said: “We are delighted to have helped a successful local business expand their operations by acquiring freehold premises in this central Bristol location.

“The market in this area of the city is very tightly supplied, particularly for freehold stock, so it was particularly rewarding to have found premises that will enable Chauncey’s to consolidate their operations into one central location.”
