Chauncey Billups had a brutally honest take on why Carmelo Anthony isn’t in the NBA

We haven’t seen Carmelo Anthony play in an NBA since last November before he was exiled by the Houston Rockets.

The likely future Hall of Famer hasn’t gotten any bites during NBA’s free agency this summer, which has been a crazy time with a number of big names switching teams.

So it looks like we most likely have seen the end of his career.

Former teammate Chauncey Billups, who played with Melo with the Nuggets and Knicks, explained on Wednesday why he thinks Melo is no longer in the NBA.

While he praised him for being a great teammate, he added that Melo’s mindset on having to score 30 points a game and not being able to be a backup is why he’s no longer in the NBA:

That’s a pretty honest take by Billups, but you gotta think some Knicks fans would love to have Melo back trying to score some points. Because that franchise continues to be a bit of a mess.
