Chaser Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan hits back after being targeted with abuse by 'bitter' trolls

Chaser Jenny Ryan has responded to criticism from 'bitter' online trolls who claim that she is lacking in the necessary quiz knowledge to be on Beat The Chasers.

The Chase spin-off started on ITV on Monday night and Jenny, better known as The Vixen, revealed that she's faced abuse from some Chase viewers who trolled her on Twitter.

Jenny retweeted a post from one viewer which read: "@jlion has been cruelly exposed by this new format," to which she responded: "It's a new account from someone who has a bizarre fixation with me. I could get a clean sweep and they'd claim I'm not a real quizzer and I don't deserve to be a Chaser. I wonder why they are so bitter?"

Jenny's fans had her back, with one responding: "Jenny you’re amazing. I can’t believe you have to deal with this s***," and another tweeting: "whaaaat the one Chaser that has the highest success rate of wins! What programme have they been watching Pointless?"

During Tuesday night's episode of Beat The Chasers, Jenny was forced to shoot down a viewer's claim that the show is fixed in favour of The Chasers.

It stemmed from The Chasers being given 'what animal lives in a warren?' compared to the contestant getting a difficult history one about Edward I.

Jenny hit back to the now deleted tweet to say: "It's the same single set of questions. If the contestant had correctly answered "ticks" previously, the Edward I question would have come to us, and the warren question to the contestant. That's the way this quiz works. "
